External sewer pipes are used for the installation of gravity sewerage or stormwater pipes in underground structures. The orange-brown pipes are made of unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) or polypropylene (PP).
According to the way they are manufactured, a distinction is made between solid-wall and multi-layer pipes. The choice of pipe strength depends on the filling material, the load on the pipe and the installation depth, but generally pipes with SN8 ring stiffness are used.
