Geocomposite

Geocomposite consists of geogrid and geotextile, combining the positive properties of both materials. Geocomposites are used to strengthen subsoils with low bearing capacity (mostly to increase the bearing capacity of roads and squares). Preference should be given to a geocomposite whose mesh structure is interwoven and sewn to the geotextile.

Main functions

Filtration: Prevents movement of soil particles while allowing water to flow through.

Separation: Isolates different soil layers from each other.

Strengthening: Improves soil stability and bearing capacity.

Usage

Geocomposite combines the properties of geogrid and geotextile in one product, thereby reducing material, transportation and installation costs. When installing the geocomposite, the material is unrolled in such a way that the geotextile layer is on the side of the existing soil (below) and the geonet is on the side of the filling material (on top).
