Erosion control blankets

Erosion barrier mats consist of biodegradable material sewn through with thin PP thread or jute. Blankets are designed to protect erosion-prone areas (embankments, road slopes, etc.) from rain, wind and water erosion. Mats promote vegetation growth.

Coconut mat

Coconut mat is used in areas with a high risk of erosion and a large surface area for water run-off.

The mat is made of coconut fibres held together by a single or double-sided pp mesh As an alternative to synthetic PP netting, there is also a coconut mat with jute stitching. The standard mat width is 2.4 m and the weight is 350 gr/m².

Coconut mat provides protection against rain, wind and water erosion immediately after installation. In addition, the use of coconut improves soil microflora and moisture content, promoting seed germination and growth.

Wool erosion control mat

The new standard in the erosion control mat range is a mat made from sheep’s wool. It is 100% biodegradable.

The unique production process does not use PP yarn, netting or other binders, but mechanically binds the wool fibres by needle and heat treatment. This 100% natural mat composts completely within two years, leaving only organic material in the soil without microplastics.

Wool mat has good water retention properties, which improves the moisture content of the soil. Hay seed sown under the erosion control mat will germinate evenly and be protected even during the dry season.
